TV Journalist Mukesh Kumar on Why media is talking a lot about Yogi Adityanath?
The story started with the BJP’s victory in the UP elections and is now continuing even after Yogi Adityanath has become the Chief Minister.
Now the people have started getting bored by the news and talks of media about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. People feel that the media is over-exaggerating. Not only this, they are also seeing the glory of the yogi with suspicion and its main reason is its one-sided coverage.
What is the agenda of media ?
After his selection as Chief Minister of UP, suddenly and surprisingly media has started seeing good qualities in Yogi and they are busy presenting his as a savior. This devotion can not be journalism. It looks like that the media is engaged in improving the image of Adityanath in front of Indian people. Now it has to be seen that this is happening unknowingly or under any agenda.
By the way, the work of the media is not to create or spoil anyone’s image. The real job of media is to present the information with the correct references. If there is any involvement in it, it means that media is not playing its responsibility properly.
Where did the negative news related to the yogi disappeared?
It is surprising to see that since the Chief Minister has been elected, such news about the yogi has almost disappeared in which the negative aspects of his personality are exposed.
The campaign against alleged Operation Romeo and Abattoirs is a decision on which the media should be equipped with facts and question. But except for the exceptions, most of the media has become biased towards Yogi.
