Modi always had been mocked and condemned for his creation of fake news for popularity in the face. Last year in June, a photo showing around 20 soldiers sitting in front of an army helicopter was released by news agency ANI on twitter.
The tweet said that these soldiers carried out the offensive against militants along the India-Myanmar border killing more than 20 militants. However the Defence Ministry was quick enough to deny this fact.
The story by Quint was widely shared by the pro-BJP government social media users. Many detected a hidden propaganda behind it.
