National president of the BJP Amit Shah was shown black flags by unemployed JBT teachers in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and other senior party leaders, including Union Minister Birender Singh, Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu, Agriculture minister OP Dhankar, Health Minister Anil Vij and state BJP in charge Anil Jain, at the ‘Gaurav’ rally held here today.
Protesting JBT teachers began showing black flags as soon as party president Amit Shah stood up to address the rally. The protesters succeeded in reaching near the stage with black flags despite strict security arrangements at the venue. They shouted slogans against the BJP government for failing to provide them jobs.Union minister for Road and Transport Nitin Gadkari attended the rally for a short time.
He repeated previous announcements made by the NDA and left the rally venue. No new announcements were made for the development of central Haryana at the rally. Union Minister Birender Singh had sought special attention for the development of these areas, which he said remained backward owing to previous government’s apathy.
To this Shah suggested Birender to not to speak for central Haryana alone and instead think about the overall development of the state. Shah said, “Our party does not believe in discrimination or special promotion towards a specific area.”
